“ Through the nervous system, chiropractic care improves our ability to sense our bodies environment to move, heal and be well.

Chiropractic care works naturally with the nervous system to improve our ability to sense our body and environment. The function of the spine influences how the brain receives, interrupts and sends out information to the entire body. As a chiropractor I assess the body as a whole to identify subluxations (misalignments or miscommunications) that interfere with how the brain and body communicate. Our bodies and nervous system are influenced by physical, chemical and mental/emotional stressors (the triad of health). These stressors wire the system and drive our sympathetic nervous system, our flight, fight and freeze response. By utilising a range of gentle Chiropractic techniques we gently unwind the stressors from your spine, nervous system and body allowing you to live well naturally.

What is chiropractic care ?

I use the Activator Technique. The activator is an effective, gentle tool we use to adjust your system. Not only does this technique allow me to adjust the spine, but it also allows me to access the connection from your brain, through your nervous system to your organs (liver, stomach, heart, lungs) to be sure they are functioning at their best.  We also utilise Diversified manual adjustments (where indicated) Sacro-occipital technique (SOT), Soft tissue therapies, cranial techniques and specific paediatric and pregnancy adjusting techniques.

I am committed to continuing to expand my knowledge and skill set and is currently completing some extra study in functional neurology and Women’s health.

Care through every stage of life…

Pregnancy

During pregnancy a woman's body goes through extraordinary changes. As your body’s hormones change so does your brain and physiology. Chiropractic care has been shown to positively support your body as it adapts to the changing pressures of pregnancy. Your posture changes, hips widen, connective tissues relax, shifting, stretching and challenging your body. Having a balanced spine and a clear and connected nervous system helps to create an optimal environment for a comfortable and healthy pregnancy.

Paediatric

Our nervous systems are the master controllers, orchestrating everything your child does, from breathing and digesting, to running and thinking. During childhood, gentle chiropractic adjustments can help children adapt and grow through all of life’s bumps and tumbles. As chiropractors we are trained to assess your kids body from a structural, a neurological and a developmental view. We assess their primitive reflexes and make sure they meet all their milestones appropriately. From newborns to toddlers and beyond, chiropractic care helps them thrive !

Adults

The nervous system plays a vital role in regulating hormone production and release. When the spine is misaligned, it can interfere with our ability to communicate effectively with the endocrine system, which is responsible for producing and regulating hormones. Regular Chiropractic care has been shown to reduce menstrual symptoms including cramps and PMS. It has also been shown to provide positive fertility benefits, improvements to cycle regulation and soothing menopausal symptoms.

Women’s health

Our approach to chiropractic care utilises structural and neurological assessment of your system. Based on a thorough history and physical assessment, together we create a care plan, tailored specifically to you, to bring your body back to a state of homeostasis and balance. Chiropractic care allows for the body and brain to communicate optimally.
